Course Description

Who should attend :- Those wishing to work in the public sector as landscape gardeners, professional foresters, amenity or utility aboricultural activities or to use chainsaws and related equipment for business, domestic or leisure activities. What is the course aim? :- The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that chainsaws and related equipment are operated only by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use. This course aims to provide delegates with the base knowledge to understand the principles of how to protect yourself and operate equipment safely, cutting and felling techniques, how to keep your chainsaw in good condition and the best practice operating chainsaws, strimmers, brushcutters, woodchippers, strimmers, etc. The course covers one day training for a maximum of four people.
