Update to the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-02) What you will study The changes made to the 17th Edition (BS 7671 : 2008) IEE Wiring Regulations compared to the 16th Edition. Topics covered include new requirements for RCD protection, extra special locations and additional appendices. Who the course is for This course is for qualified electricians or students who are about to become qualified electricians. The course is not for people new to the electrical installation industry, or for people who do not already have a reasonable knowledge of electrical installation. How you will study Classroom based lectures, and assessments. How you will be assessed Externally set on-line exam (multiple choice open book) 30 questions in one hour. Qualification Title CGLI 2382 IEE Wiring Regulations Update BS 7671:2008 Course Length Three hours per week for three weeks. Course Availability The course is available at the following campus(es): Rhos-on-Sea Entry Guidelines - City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: June 2001 (2381), or - City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Installation (Building and Structures) (2330-07), or - City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08), or - City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation Part Two (2360) (from January 1st 2004 onwards only). You will also be required to purchase or have sight of the IEE Wiring Regulations, 17th Edition book. Your Options After the Course There is the opportunity to progress onto the C&G 2392 or C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection courses.
