Course Description

Main features Operators are trained and then assessed in the safety and operation of tractors. Candidates will be rquired to hitch a trailer to a tractor. Operator of a loader is optional. Course Content Following attendance on this session candidates should be able to: Identify key aspects of legislation applying to the safe preparation and operation of a tractor including the hitching of attachments and if appropriate a front end loader. Prepare and operate a tractor safely Carry out daily checks and routine maintenance. Manoeuvre the tractor and attachment and operate both safely State the procedures to be observed when cleaning and inspecting the tractor and reporting defects.
