Course Description

The course covers the differences between supervision and appraisal (Employee Development Reviews) and the necessity for implementing both of these performance management systems in order to provide an effective and motivated work team. Learning outcomes and objectives To understand the functions of professional supervision. To understand the role of appraisal in identifying training and development skills. To identity strategies for empowering staff through effective supervision. Relates to : Registered Manager Award units C13 and C10 The new RMA unit of competence for supervision St Monica Trust Management Competencies 1 and 2 Our team leader training is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), and is delivered with a total focus on the management of care services. It links with many aspects of the Registered Manager Award NVQ, by providing underpinning knowledge. Half day courses usually run from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. / 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
