Course overview Structural engineers are involved in the design and supervision of a wide variety of structures, such as houses, theatres, sports stadia, hospitals, bridges, oil rigs, space satellites and office blocks. The course is designed to provide students with the advanced knowledge and skills required to pursue a career in structural engineering . Module guide Core modules Analytical Techniques Foundation Design Engineering Structural Design to Eurocodes Structural Dynamics Forensic Engineering Engineering Futures and Structural Form Sustainability and Environmental Management Hydraulic Structures Major Project/Dissertation Assessment A range of assessment methods are used, which are designed to be both formative and summative.
