Course Description

This Level 7, 20 credit, module is aimed at healthcare professionals who are providing care for patients who have a vascular condition. The module has been designed to equip nurses and other registered practitioners working in the area of vascular care in an acute setting. They will develop their skills in critical thinking and service innovation as well as gain the knowledge, skill level and competencies required to work in the care of vascular patients in evidence-based care.

Course Content

This module focuses on many of the aspects of the holistic care of the vascular patient, from both a surgical and medical perspective. To complete the award you must be a nurse registered with the NMC/HCPC working in the area of vascular care.

  • You should be a registered nurse with current registration to practice completed at diploma level and above
  • HCPC registered with current registration
  • Evidence of current and valid registration either HCPC or NMC

English Language requirements
