Course Description

Our training programme for individuals aged 17 and above, runs for 30 hours a week for 16 weeks. During the training programme individuals will receive the PTS ? Personal Track Safety, TIC-Track Induction, NVQ Level 2 in Railway Engineering Permanent-Way Renewals and Numeracy and Literacy skills. These skills and licenses are essential when applying to work on the railway. The training centre is equipped with genuine rail track equipment including tracks with points and crossings for candidates to be trained on. Many of our candidates enjoy the mix of physical labour and theoretical learning. No qualifications are required, however you will be given a short basic maths and english test in your interview to ensure you meet the levels required for the course. Eligibile candidates may also be able to recieve a payment of up to ?70 a week and subsidized travel costs. This is a great opportunity to train for a new career in railway engineering.
