Psychology AS Level Overview Psychology is applied to many aspects of life. Sports teams, the police, schools, businesses and the media, all utilize psychological theory to improve performance, solve crime and understand behaviour. Description The Psychology A Level will equip you with the ability to see the evidence of what you learn in everyday life. You can expect to develop an understanding of different areas of psychology such as cognition, child development, social and individual differences and relationships. You will also learn how topical issues, such as eyewitness testimony, eating disorders and stress, can be better understood and managed by looking at them from a psychological perspective. How will I be assessed? Examinations and coursework for A2 Level. What does the course lead to? The Psychology A Level will open the door for further study at degree level, a range of vocational courses and employment in many different areas. At university level you can expect to gain access to courses like Social Science, Criminology, Health Studies of further study in Psychology. How do I apply? We are here to help you, so please come along to our regular open evenings or advice events, or telephone for more details. Once we have received your application form, we will invite you into College for an interview. You will be able to discuss all aspects of the course you have chosen, as well as any alternatives you may be considering. You will also have the opportunity to visit the areas of the College used for your programme choice.
