Course Description Increasingly, presenters have to speak to large audiences at conferences, academic gatherings and large company meetings. While the skills needed are broadly the same as for a smaller audience, there are aspects that the presenter to large audiences needs to be aware of and prepare for. This course concentrates on helping delegates identify the interests and needs of their audience, and how to identify the message that the audience will be most receptive to, and to make sure it hits home. It also focuses on the practical issues of standing on the podium, the most effective body language and eye contact; how to use the voice to full effect to keep the interest of the audience, and using the microphone. In addition, they will practise keeping control, handling questions and using visuals. The course will be active, practical and fun, and delegates will have the opportunity to present at least three times.
