Course Description

Introduction Staff meetings, presenting reports, management presentations, they all require effective presentation skills to ensure that the desired outcome is achieved. Many Supervisors find these activities to be a particularly difficult and unnerving experience often resulting in a hesitant and/or poor performance regardless of the value of the subject or their technical competence. Aims and Objectives This development workshop will help delegates overcome their nervousness at making presentations and give them the skills for making more effective presentations in future. The Course Covers How to plan and prepare a presentation How to structure the presentation How to capture and hold audience interest How to use visual aids effectively How to overcome nervousness and acquire greater confidence How to use speech How to open the presentation How to close and summarize the presentation Who Should Attend: Supervisors and line Managers who may make formal or informal presentations on a regular or occasional basis.
