Course Description

The MSc in Medical Education is aimed at students and clinicians in a variety of clinical settings with responsibilities for educating clinicians, whatever their career stage. It will provide an in-depth understanding of the educational principles underlying good practice in medical education and the research skills to continue to extend these over the course of their professional life. The Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education is comprised of eight taught modules: From Theory to Practice in Clinical Education Professionalism in Medical Education Assessment Theory and Practice Systems for Health and Social Care Leadership, Change Management and Decision Making in the Health System Foundations of Health Research Quantitative Health Research Methods Qualitative Health Research Methods Course Leader Professor John McLachlan
