Course Description

Work Based NVQs in Team Leading Level 2 What does the course involve? You will build a portfolio of evidence. One to one attendance at college at a day and time convenient to you, is required to check on progress. This will usually be for an hour, every 3-4 weeks. Some workplace assessment will be required to observe your performance. What is the qualification and how is it gained? Dependent on the type of job you do, NVQ in Business and Administration levels 14, Customer Service levels 2 and 3, Team Leading level 2 and Management levels 3 - 5 are available. Candidates will choose the most appropriate course, dependent on their type of job and the degree of responsibility involved. How will the course be taught? Workbased evidence will be required in the form of witness statements, personal statements and work products. Observation and questioning will also be used to assess your competence in your job. What skills will be taught? Students will develop a good knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the topic of the NVQ, through research and reading. Feedback will also provide an integral learning mechanism. What progression routes are available? This is reliant on workplace achievement; candidates can progress to the next level NVQ, if the job role is suitable to it. Some structured courses are available to enable you to improve your skills before embarking on the next level NVQ. What should students bring to the first class? Stationery and a lever arch folder. Are there any other costs involved? Registration, certification fees in addition to the tuition fees. How many weeks will the course run for? One year from the start date. Can students join at any time? Yes, although no assessment will take place during July and August.
