How to ApplyEnrol Application Form to be returned to Learner Services Course Outline This course is for anyone who is interested in entering the beauty therapy industry or has an interest in progressing as a nail technician. Profile During the course you will learn all techniques in both practical and theory sessions to allow you to perform manicure treatment (hands). This would be a useful qualification for hairdressers who may wish to offer it as additional treatment. Assessments continue throughout the course both in practical and theory sessions. Additional Information The course is ideal for hairdressers who may want to offer additional services into their salon. Students will be expected to work towards a VTCT Health & Safety Diploma if they have not already achieved this qualification. This will have an additional cost of approximately ?15. Students will be required to purchase a kit (approx ?35). Funding LSC Remission Available Qualifications Offered (in next Class) Manicure Course Group 4 Funding Stream: 10 - ASL (PCDL 19 plus) Fees: Tuition: ?120.00, Materials: ?10.00, Exams: ?16.00 Please Note: These are current course fees. Later courses may be charged at a different rate. Fees quoted are on an individual student basis only. Opportunities Employment in a nail salon or in a hairdressers if offered as an additional service. This qualification is an essential requirement for the Dilpoma in Nail Extensions. Entry Requirement Communication skills - An ability to communicate one to one e.g. tutor or client and in a group as part of discussions. Literacy - Reading - Much of the course material is presented in work books. Students need an ability to read and understand these books. Technical language will be taught on this course. Writing - Students need to produce written assignments and sit written exams. If you need help with either of these it can be provided. If English is not your first language, you may need an English Language assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the English Language Unit at the College.
