Part Time National Award in Organic Horticulture Level 3 Qualification Duration: 1 day a week for 1 year The Course: This course is suitable for those wanting to know more about commercial horticulture and fruit and vegetable production without the use of chemicals. Course Content: ?Principles of plant and soil science ?Plant propagation ?Organic horticulture ?Investigative project ?Landscape ecology ?Sustainable development Progression: ?National Diploma Horticulture ?RHS Advanced Certificate ?Foundation Degree Programme, such as Landscape Design Management ?Other higher education courses. Equipment Required: Writing materials course specific materials will be discussed at induction. Safety boots and wet weather clothing. Financial Information: If you are aged 16 ?18 on 31 August 2009, and are resident in the UK for the last three years, you do not have to pay tuition or examination fees. For mature students, the tuition fee is ?1020.00, together with an examination fee of ?106.00. Help with fees up to the full cost of the course may be available.
