Part Time Move on Maths How & what will I learn? You will learn on an individualised programme tailored to your needs. The course content covers those aspects of Numeracy that are needed for successful everyday working with numbers and will identify and help you to improve and feel confident handling numbers in situations like using measurement, understanding graphs and tables, handling figures and so on. Qualifications needed to start No formal qualifications are needed, although you should have some level self confidence in the basics of handling numbers, like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and so on. You will be initially assessed using a specially developed computer programme to find out what level is most suited to your needs. What qualification will I gain? The OCR Certificate in Adult Numeracy which is a nationally recognised qualification. Progression on completion & career opportunities After a successful course you may want to progress your Maths skills to a higher level or move on to study Maths at GCSE. Will I have to take an exam? Yes, at the end of the course How long does the course last? The course will last for 9 or 10 weeks. How do I enrol? You can enrol in person at any of our Centres. Our Resources You will learn using a range of the latest resources including CDs, DVDs and CD Roms and computer based materials. You will have full access to the College's Learning Resource Centres.
