Motor Vehicle Serving and Repair Level 2 City and Guilds 4101 Dates: 24 Sep 09 - 24 Jun 10; 34 weeks Times: 9.00am - 5.00pm Day: Thursday Venue: Cranford Avenue Aim of Course To provide a good understanding of Motor Vehicle Systems, using theory and practical sessions. Entry Requirements Course Details/Contents Students will work within the IMI standards studying the following Level 2 units: Contribute to Good Housekeeping Ensure your action reduces risks to Health and Safety Maintain positive working relationships Carry out routine vehicle maintenance Engine systems Electrical auxiliary systems Chassis systems Transmission systems Materials/Textbook Requirements Students are required to purchase a text book/workbook, to be discussed at interview. Study Requirements Theory supported by practical work and occasional assignments. Assessment/Examination Details A written multiple-choice with each unit and a practical assignment with each unit. Career Opportunities/Progression On successful completion of the IMI Level 2 Motor Vehicle Servicing and Repair course, you can progress onto the IMI Level 3 Motor Vehicle Servicing and Repair course. Course Cost Information Fees Additional costs after enrolment Tuition Fee 625 Registration Fee/Certificate Examination/Assessment Fee 110 Other course Costs: e.g. Materials Workshop Log Books 25 Fees Due 760 Fees - All fees quoted are for British/ EEA Citizens with settled status who have been resident in an EEA country for the last 3 years or have exceptional circumstances or exceptional leave to remain. If you are in any doubt as to your status please ask for advice on enrolment. Refund of fees will only be paid in the event the College cancel the course, or if you notify the College of your intention to withdraw from the course 2 weeks prior to the start date. Fee Reductions If you are in receipt of an income based qualifying benefit, you may be entitled to a fee reduction on tuition fees only. All other charges as shown above will need to be paid in full. Entry Requirement A good understanding of the motor vehicle and successful completion of ABC 397 Motor Vehicle Servicing and Repair Level 1 or City and Guilds 383 Part 1 Repair and Servicing of Road Vehicles or City and Guilds 6956 Progression Award in Motor Vehicle Servicing and Repair (Light Vehicles) Level 1 or a relevant Level 1 Motor Vehicle course. You will need to have an interview with the course tutor before you can enrol for this course.
