Duration 2 years, Part-time Awarding Body Edexcel Entry Requirements Applicants must have a National Diploma in Construction, or National Certificate in Building Studies or, a Level 3 BTEC Diploma, or a Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma, or a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, or NVQ Level 3 and/or Technical Certificate or 1 GCE ?A? Level, together with passes in at least 4 subjects at GCSE level including Mathematics, English and Science. Mature candidates with relevant industrial experience will be considered on merit. Course Content Modules include: ? Design Principles and Application for Construction ? Science and Materials for Construction ? Health Safety and Welfare for Construction ? Site Surveying Procedures ? Construction Methods and Design Solutions ? Measuring, Tendering and Estimating for Construction ? Design Technology for Construction ? Project Management ? Building Control Procedures ? Group Project Course Aims ? To provide technicians employed in the Built Environment professions with the opportunity to obtain a higher level qualification and to enhance their career prospects. ?
