HNC Working with Communities Aimed at: People currently involved in, or who would like to become involved in, paid or voluntary community work and who would like to gain a nationally recognised qualification to formalise their skills and learning. Additional Information: This programme links theory with fieldwork practice in the area of Community Development. 40% of the proramme is undertaken in a workplace setting. Location: Easterhouse and East End Campus Available: Full-Time, Part-Time Units Include: Principle and Practice Social Science Approaches Managing Resources Learning Approaches Workplace Practice Preparing to Work with Community Group Graded Unit Working with Young People Health Promotion (optional) This programme has been endorsed by CeVe (Community Learning Validation and Endorsement) and is an employer-recognised course. Progression: Employment in the area of Community Learning and Development Interview for direct entry to BA Community Learning and Development at either University of Strathclyde or University of Glasgow (Direct entry to either 1st or 2nd year of the degree programmes. Entry level is at the discretion of both universities)
