This course reflects modern practices and provides a solid introduction into major areas of electrical and mechanical engineering. The course consists of basic electrical theory, which covers the underlying principles of electrical / electronic devices as well as mechanical principles; updating skills and knowledge in preparation for higher education. Interview / Skills Assessment A brief interview (telephone or face to face) is required with the course tutor to determine the suitability of the course. What will I need? The entry requirements are Level 3 qualifications in engineering / science although different qualifications / experience will be considered at the tutor's discretion What is covered? The units are based on EDECXEL National Dioploma Units ? Maths for technicians ? Electrical and electronic principles ? Mechanical principles and applications ? Electronics How is the course assessed? Assessment is by a combination of phase tests and assignments externally verified by EDEXCEL to national standards What can this course lead to?
