Course Description

What you will study You will study core modules in Work-Related Learning, Personal and Professional Development, Leadership, Motivation and Change Management, Business Environment, Managing People and Managing Finances. You will study two electives at each level: Level 4 ? Health & Safety in the Childcare Environment, Quality Systems in Childcare or Marketing and Promotion of the Childcare Provision. Level 5 ? Registration and Inspection of the Childcare Environment, Innovative Activities within Childcare or Theories and Practice of Child Development. How you will learn You can learn through a mixture of traditional and blended learning. Your workplace experience will be linked to theoretical knowledge and a wide range of teaching and learning methods will be used to meet your needs, such as lectures, workshops, discussion, case studies, practical exercises and tutorials. How you will be assessed By written assignments, presentations, formal and informal reports. Attendance The programme is part-time and runs between 2 to 4 years, depending on learner achievement. Emphasis is placed on learning in the workplace, as well as at College.
