Fabrication & Welding Diploma Level 3 Number of Weeks 34 Hours per Week 6 Who is the programme for? This programme is aimed towards anyone wanting to gain a level 3 certificate in Welding and Fabrication Practice To provide an opportunity for existing employees to obtain relevant and up to date technical knowledge to meet the requirements of the application of practical skills. To provide an opportunity for acquiring practical skills in different processes and positions. To provide an opportunity for progression onto further/higher levels of study. How long does it take to complete? 1 year, part time. What qualifications do I need? What is the programme structure? This programme consists of the following: Oxy-Acetylene Gas Welding and Cutting Manual Metal-Arc Welding Metal-Arc Gas Shielded Welding Tungsten-Arc Gas Shielded Welding Fabrication Process (General) Related Studies Engineering Drawing Key Skills Not Applicable Are there any special facilities for the programme? The special facilities will include: specialist Engineering workshops for students to study in. How is the programme assessed? This programme is assessed through practical test and external examinations. Will there be any extra costs involved? Students will need to provide overalls and protective footwear. Welding and Fabrication Practice Level 3. Examining/Validating Body Awarding Body Consortium. What can I do next? Successful students can progress to the Diploma in Fabrication and Welding. Students can also progress into Engineering related employment.
