Part time Electrical Installations 17th Edition Update Duration : One day Locations : Beverley, Bridlington Attendance : Part time What is the course about? The IEE Wiring Regulations are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems and are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS7671). They set requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards. This qualification is primarily aimed at allowing electricians who have previously demonstrated compliance to the 16th Edition wiring regulations (BS 7671 June 2001) the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of the changes and additions made to the IEE Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) from the 16th edition June 2001 to the 17th edition June 2008. It is intended to ensure that individuals who are suitably qualified to the current 16th edition are conversant with the format, content and the application of the requirements for electrical installations BS 7671: 2008 (17th edition.) As this qualification focuses on the changes and additions in the latest version of the IEE wiring regulations candidates will not have to be re-assessed on unchanged content. What next? The qualification enables you to demonstrate that you are conversant with the changes and additions to the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (17th edition), enabling you to meet the requirements of the registration boards and aiding yout employment. Depending on your industry experience you can progress onto either the City & Guilds Level 2 certificate in fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification or the City & Guilds Level 3 certificate in inspection, testing and certification of Electrical Installations Entry requirements Only candidates that have achieved previous qualifications and can demonstrate this compliance to the (BS 7671 June 2001) will be allowed to be certificated on this qualification. The suitable entry qualifications are the currently NQF accredited; City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: June 2001 or the Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Installation (Building and Structures) or Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08) Anyone without the above qualifications will be unable to undertake this qualification and must undertake the qualification addressing the Wiring Regulations in full the City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671 June 2008.)
