Childrens Care, Learning and Development (Level 3) NVQ Level 3 - Awarding Body: CACHE You have up to 18 months to complete the qualification Aim of course To provide a qualification for people who are working in a face-to-face role with children and families, who have supervisory responsibilities, specialist roles or work independently. No text book purchases are compulsory, although books will be recommended for student use. AssessmentExamination Details Successful completion of the qualification is based on workplace assessments and verification of portfolio showing evidence of competence. Progression Progression to NVQ Level 4 is very much dependent on one's level of responsibility as Level 4 is appropriate for managers, and senior practitioners in child care roles. Course Cost Information Total cost of the course 995 per candidate. Funding may be available through Sure Start subject to meeting the eligibility cirteria and availability. Fees All fees quoted are for British EEA Citizens with settled status who have been resident in an EEA country for the last 3 years or have exceptional circumstances or exceptional leave to remain. If you are in any doubt as to your status please ask for advice on enrolment. Refund of fees will only be paid in the event the College cancel the course, or if you notify the College of your intention to withdraw from the course 2 weeks prior to the start date. Fee Reductions If you are in receipt of an income based qualifying benefit, you may be entitled to a fee reduction on tuition fees only. All other charges as shown above will need to be paid in full. Please remember to bring evidence of entitlement with you when you come to enrol. You can apply to enrol:- By calling in to the ReceptionInformation Centre situated in Fleet Building at any time. Times of Opening are: 8.15am-9.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.15am-5pm on Fridays. During half terms, Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks, opening times are 8.30am -5.00pm Monday to Friday. Please note Courses are operated on a minimum number of students and may, on rare occasions, be subject to cancellation. In the event of cancellation any fees paid will be refunded in full. Examples of suitable job roles are childminder, day-care or preschool supervisor, Sure Start worker, home-start supervisor, community nursery nurse Commitment of candidate to complete the NVQ Agreement and support of candidate's work setting for NVQ assessment and review All candidates must be interviewed by NVQ Co-ordinator before enrolment takes place and work-based assessors must be approved by the College All candidates must attend college-based evening workshops to fulfil knowledge requirements.
