Course Description

Certificate in Counselling Studies (Level 3) Course content: This qualification is for learners who have already acquired CPCAB's Level 2 Certificate in Counselling or its equivalent, and now want to continue their training. Entry requirements: Level 2 Counselling Skills or equivalent. Course modules: - Professional frame work of a counsellor - The counselling relationship - Client diversity - The service user approach - Personal awareness in counselling - Counselling concepts and skills - Supervision and self reflection. Duration: 30 weeks, learners should expect to be in College for at least 3 hours per week. Assessment: Internal assessment is based on the completion of an evidence based portfolio. External assessment is based on completing a paper in the role of the observer. Progression: Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4).
