ADDITIONAL COSTS Approx. 70 for books and Personal Protective Equipment AWARDING/VALIDATION BODY Construction Skills ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Applicants will be expected to have achieved: Intermediate Construction Award in Carpentry or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or Carpentry Diploma Level 2 and Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths or Key Skills Level 1 (Application of Number & Communications) PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE This course has been specifically developed for delivery in College using simulated practical conditions. Assessment is based on candidates demonstrating their knowledge and practical competence per unit. The course covers all aspects of Level 3 Site Carpentry including: Coordinating and Establishing Operational Areas Managing Carpentry Operations Organising and Constrolling Materials/Resources Planning and Progressing Carpentry Operations Coordination and Installing First and Second Fixings Cordinating and Erecting Carcassing Producting Timber Products (Circular Saw) PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES This course is essential for potential Carpentry supervisors and progression into professional roles or courses.
