Brickwork Diploma Level 3 Dates: 23 Sep 09 - 16 June 10; 33 wks Times: 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Day: Wednesday Venue: Cranford Avenue 1 Year Programme Aim of course This course is aimed at people who are employed within the Construction Industry with Level 2 in Brickwork or relevant site experience. The course will: Enable you to complete complex brick and block work walling. Provide you with the highest achievable skills qualifications. Improve your qualifications and job prospects. Safety Glasses Stationery, A4 Ring Binder, A4 Lined Paper, Pens, Pencils, Tape Measure, Calculator Materials Desirable: Drawing Instruments - see tutor for list Specific textbooks and protecting clothing and equipment will be recommended Study Requirements Practical training for assessment. Assignments to be completed. Assessment/Examination Details The assessments are flexible 'on-going' covering the practical and knowledge elements of the course, these are undertaken throughout the year. Practical phase test and online testing. Demonstrate practical ability. Career Opportunties / Progression Upon successful completion of this programme you can progress on to NVQ Level 3 if you have a work placement and gain the work based evidence. If you are in any doubt as to your status please ask for advice on enrolment. Refund of fees will only be paid in the event the College cancels the course, or if you notify the College of your intention to withdraw from the course 2 weeks prior to the start date. Fee Reductions If you are in receipt of an income based qualifying benefit, you may be entitled to a fee reduction on tuition fees only. All other charges as shown above will need to be paid in full. Please remember to bring evidence of entitlement with you when you come to enrol. Rehabilitation of Offenders Please note, to help us look after students and assess risks, you will be asked to declare any unspent criminal convictions when you apply to do a course at Weymouth College. How to Apply and Additional Information You can apply to enrol: By calling in to the Reception/Information Centre situated in Fleet Building at any time. Times of Opening are: 8.15am-8.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.15am-5pm on Fridays. During half terms, Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks, opening times are 8.30am -5.00pm Monday to Friday.
