Course Description

Who should participate: Anyone with direct contact with learners in a learning environment. Participants must also have the opportunity to design, evaluate and improve learning programmes, manage the contributions of others and contribute to learning within an organisation or be involved with the management of learning and development. Course Outcome: Recognition of existing skills and competence and development of knowledge and understanding. You will also achieve a nationally recognised qualification. Course Units To be awarded this qualification, candidates must achieve a total of 445 credits. Twelve credits must be taken from the Mandatory Group A and the remaining 33 credits can be taken form optional Group b or C. In order to achieve the management endorsement, a minimum of 18 credits must be taken from Optional Group C. Group A - Mandatory Units - Reflect on and improve own practice in learning and development - Principles, theories and practices of learning and development Group B - Optional Units - Identify the learning needs of organisations - Identify individual learning and development needs - Develop learning and development programmes - Plan and prepare specific learning and development opportunities - Develop and prepare resources for learning and development - Facilitate learning and development in groups - Facilitate learning and development for individuals - Manage learning and development in groups - Engage learners in the learning and development process - Evaluate and improve learning and development provision - Understanding the principles and practices of assessment - Assess occupational competence in the work environment (must be paired with *) - Assess Vocational Skills, knowledge and understanding (must be paired with *) - Understanding the principles and practice of internally assuring the quality of assessment - Internally assure the quality of assessment (must be taken in combination with ^) - Provide information and advice to learners and employers - Engage with employers to develop and support learning provision - Engage with employers to facilitate workforce development Group C - Optional Units (Management Units) - Develop and evaluate operational plans for own area of responsibility - Provide leadership and direction for own area of responsibility - Manage or support equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion in own area of work - Work productively with colleagues and stakeholders - Plan, allocate and monitor work in own areas of responsibility - Set objectives and provide support for team members - Developing collaborative relationships with other organisations - Manage a budget for own area or activity or work - Manage the achievement of customer satisfactions
