Arboriculture NPTC CS30/31 Basic Chainsaw Maintenance and Small Tree Felling Techniques Myerscough reference: 09CCMSTMYS11P Start Date Monday 18 January 2010 Also available on: Monday 01 February 2010 Monday 15 February 2010 Times: 8.30 am - 4.00 pm (approx) 5 Days Venue: Myerscough College, Preston About the Course CS 30.1 Maintenance of the Chainsaw CS 30.2 Site Preparation and Basic Cross Cutting CS 31 Small Tree Felling Both the above modules are offered as this five day course. This will cover the elements required for the safe operation of a chainsaw on the ground, including legislation, health and safety, preparation, maintenance and operation. Please note that the latter part of the course will take at a felling site The fees include NPTC administraion, registration and assessment charges. Assessments will be arranged to take place after training has been completed (usually the following week). Fees ?710.00 List of Modules On campus Monday - Practical chainsaw maintenance Off site at a suitable felling location, departing from campus between 8..00 and 8.30 am Tuesday - Felling cross cutting and introduction to small tree felling Wednesday - Felling techniques, snedding cross cutting and take down of hung up trees Thursday - As above, with additional techniques in small tree felling Friday - As above with revision of small tree felling and all other techniques.
