A one day non residential course 2. Benefits - what attendees will be able to do after the course: Have a solid understanding of the main purpose and tools of finance, including cashflow, profit and loss accounts and balance sheets Be able to converse confidently with finance professionals to get the most out of their services Be able to understand the key pieces of finance jargon 3. Overview of course content: The course covers a wide spectrum of subjects, including: The difference between Cash and Profit Profit & Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets Debits and Credits Capital vs Revenue Analytical review of Financial Statements Tools used to inform investment decisions Budgeting and Standard Costs Fraud and internal controls Each course is given by one professional tutor to a small group. Lunch and refreshments are included. All course materials will be provided and each attendee will be given a clear manual which they can take away and refer to later. There will be opportunities for each attendee to ask for specific guidance about how finance affects their own sector and organisation.
