Course Description

The Masters of Science (MSc) Pain, Science & Practice is an exciting course which aims to to promote a high level of expertise, enable multidisciplinary practice and facilitate an evidence-based and academic approach to Pain Management. This programme will be delivered in collaboration with multidisciplinary professions working within the field of Pain Management. The course also aims to prepare students for independent lifelong learning by encouraging self-directed study. It will provide learning tools that will equip students for further study andor careers in the NHS or related areas. Pain Science & Practice at Queen's can also be taken as a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma. The DiplomaMSc takes place over 2 - 3 years part-time. In year 1 and 2 students will complete 4 modules per year. Successful completion of 8 modules can lead to the award of a Diploma in Pain Science and Practice. Students who successfully complete 8 modules and submit a 20,000 word Dissertation in year 3 are eligible to be awarded the MSc in Pain Science and Practice. Funding is available for 2011-12.
