PROGRAMME DETAILS The globalization of trade relations, political engagement and personal connectivity that has emerged since the 1980s is arguably the most important shift in human society in recent centuries, and has become a major concern of policy-makers and citizens alike. The MSc programme in Globaliza-tion will examine the nature and dimensions of this transformation from a social scientific perspective, and the impact it is having on our ways of life. It will appeal to students and professionals seeking a deeper understanding of global processes and international affairs, and those pursuing re-search in the social sciences to the doctoral level. The MSc programme includes the following courses: Advanced Social Theory (30 credits) Social Research Methods (30 credits) Dimensions of Globalization (30 credits) Elective option (30 credits), and Dissertation (60 credits). The PGDip programme does not include the Dissertation component.
