Suitable for: graduates with a degree from a UK or other approved university, or other suitably qualified and experienced individuals. Applicants are usually employed in the pharmaceutical industry, the NHS or academia, and will normally be sponsored by their pharmaceutical company or employer. Offers knowledge and expertise: for a senior role in clinical research. Course Description: This part-time course provides an overview of all aspects of the drug development process and establishes a multidisciplinary approach to bringing a new chemical entity to the marketplace. It fosters networking and collaborative learning between participants. Modules Diploma: Clinical Research Drug Development Therapeutics of the Respiratory and Central Nervous Systems Advanced Clinical Research Regulatory Affairs Pharmacovigilance Complimentary Therapeutics Cardiovascular and Immunological Diseases and Oncology. Assessment is by examination at the end of Years 1 and 2, and work-based assignments and a course journal. MSc: Research Methods Dissertation (Year 3).
