This has created an environment where opportunities are increasingly being created for individuals with a formal qualification in risk management who wish to pursue a career in the insurance industry. The MSc Risk Management is a well established programme that has been running since 1996 and is widely recognised in industry. This programme is intended for both graduates who wish to pursue a career within risk management and those with relevant industry experience who wish to increase their knowledge and expertise. Regulatory pressures and rapidly developing insurance markets globally have seen an increase in investment in risk within this sector and consequently an increase in demand for qualified professionals. The MSc Insurance and Risk Management programme not only equips students for risk manager roles that have a strong emphasis on the management of insurance portfolios but also provides an insight also into the ways in which insurance companies manage risk and the challenges this presents.
