Course Description

Durham's MSc in Sustainability, Culture & Development provides advanced subject coverage and research training in development anthropology, participatory methods and indigenous knowledge systems. In addition to promoting the student?s subject knowledge, the course aims to develop critical, analytical, interpretative, integrative and presentation skills and to provide an opportunity, through the dissertation, for the student to pursue and report original research under expert supervision. The programme aims to prepare students for doctoral research in development anthropology andor a career in applied development anthropology, especially in international development contexts. Interdisciplinarity is a key strength of this MSc.
