Course Description

The MSc Health Psychology is accredited by the British Psychological Society as Stage 1 training to become a Chartered Psychologist. We have recognized Stage 2 supervisors at Aston to take you on to Stage 2 training should you wish once you have graduated from the MSc. The programme involves six 20 credit modules on: advanced research methodology (quantitative and qualitative), health behaviours, illness processes and behaviour, health inequalities and professional issues and applications. It also involves a 60 credit empirical research project. There is a range of staff expertise at Aston meaning that students do a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects often in applied settings such as the NHS, schools, and places of work.
