The accreditation means that students who complete the MSc (after an accredited BEng or MEng) can be deemed to have achieved the qualifications requirements for UK Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. The programme is ideal if you are a science, engineering or mathematics graduate wishing to increase your technological knowledge and acquire the essentials of management theory and practice. You can either follow the base programme allowing maximum flexibility in module choice, or you can specialise in one of four pathways drawing on the research strengths of the School. The base programme is ideally suited if you wish to leave your choice of specialisation until you arrive at Exeter, are crossing the discipline boundary within engineering, or if you are a science student entering engineering management. The management element and the opportunity for industry-based projects means the programme opens up a wide range of employment opportunities and can act as a foundation for further research in all areas of engineering.
