All applicants will be interviewed for selection, with all students being required to enrol as student members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). Course information: You will learn the specialist skills and expertise you need to be effective and influential in a human resources management role at both strategic and operational levels and acquire an in-depth understanding of key policy areas such as recruitment and selection, training and development, employee relations and performance management. An invaluable three weeks of work experience will give you the opportunity to apply your learning and gain vital industry contacts. This course involves lectures, tutorials and independent study. A part-time study option is also available. It is possible to exit the course with a Postgraduate Diploma in HRM and Graduate CIPD Membership. Trimester 1 -People Management and Leadership Practice -The Organisational Context of HR -Employment Law Trimester 2 -Employee Resourcing -Learning and Development -Labour Relations -Research Skills and Professional Development (including 20 day work placement). Trimester 3 -Dissertation On completion of the course you will be awarded Graduate membership of the CIPD.
