Course Description

The London Consortium is a unique multi-disciplinary postgraduate programme run in collaboration with the Architectural Association, Birkbeck College (University of London), the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Science Museum and Tate. The Master of Research (MRes) programme offers a challenging and rigorous opportunity to combine criticism and creativity. Unlike most traditional courses, our students benefit from being taught and supervised by both internationally renowned academics and experienced cultural practitioners working within our constituent institutions. Students pursue a series of core courses designed to develop their ability and confidence in undertaking cross-disciplinary research. They will further develop these skills through undertaking coursework and an independent research project leading to a dissertation. The programme leads to a Master of Research degree awarded by the University of London.
