Course Description

The course provides a structured introduction to research in social and developmental psychology, and will be of particular interest to students intending to go on to a PhD. As well as reflecting on methodological aspects of research, students are encouraged to consider psychological research within the wider context of debates within the soical sciences. Students will also have the opportunity of studying some substantive current issues in social and developmental psychology in greater depth. Lastly, a central element in the course is each student's own independent research project. Students usually come to the course from an undergraduate degree in psychology.
