Motor Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (Level 1) During this course you will learn about working in the motor vehicle industry. Course category: 14 - 16 Programme Course content: Site: Pelham Tower Content: This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and experience to enter the motor trade with a recognised qualification. You will study motor vehicle mechanical and electronic systems and gain a good understanding of the Health and Safety guidelines. Whilst on the course you will be working on different cars in the workshop. You will explore topics such as: Health & Safety Engineering Equipment & Materials Liquid Cooling Systems Routine Maintenance Steering, braking and suspension systems Qualification: ABC certificate in Motor Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Could lead to: Further training, such as the Motor Vehicle Craft Studies Maintenance and Repair Level 2 course. Entry Requirements: You should have an interest in mechanics and have some skills in maths and science. You will need to be able to work safely in a workshop and be able to work with others. To apply: Complete the application form as fully as you can and hand it to the college co-ordinator at your school. They will tell you what the next step is.
