The postgraduate MLitt Highlands and Islands Literature allows you to study the writers and literatures of the Highlands and Islands in the communities to which they belong. The course's main themes are: Landscape, Identity, The literary legacy for the modern period, The place of Highlands and Islands literature in the wider context Optional modules allow you to investigate areas such as: North Atlantic Rim literature, History and culture, Creative writing, Palaeography, Scottish drama. This course offers a unique and holistic learning experience which is integrative, in context, and adaptable to your specific interests. This course is networked so you have the option of travelling the region and accessing your studies from any of the campuses involved in the course. .
