Marine Design BTEC National Diploma Level 3 About the course: This is a level three qualification designed for school leavers and mature students who wish to progress onto higher education courses in marine technology, or craft students wishing to progress into technician level grades such as foreman or chargehand. Course Content: Communication Mathematics Mechanical Principles & Applications Engineering Drawing Computer Aided Drafting Manufacturing Planning Electro, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Marine Propulsion Production Systems Design Further Mathematics Project Advanced Mechanical Principles Computer Aided Manufacturing Plastics Material [Imported] Business Systems Engineering Design Naval Architecture Fluid Mechanics Learning Style: The course length is 2.5 days per week for two years. Equipment Requirements: Overalls, Safety boots, Drawing Equipment. Assessment: Assessment is on a unit by unit basis using practical and written assignments.
