Course Description

Coaching has become a principal element in the psychological contract between any organisation and its people and a key indicator of its genuine belief in the value and contribution of people as the key resource. This Programme leads the participant through a structured approach to improved communications and mutual goal setting. Learning how to create rapport, use discovery questioning, clarify objectives and provide help, support and feedback to team members. The programme introduces a specific assessment to profile each participant's preferred coaching communication style, giving significant new awareness of their natural style helping substantially to recognise better ways in which they can relate to both peers and subordinates in a more authentic manner and achieve the desired results. The Programme also explores coaching in the context of an overall changing organisation, looking at a variety of approaches, and culminates in more practice in this new management style. The Programme will have maximum benefit when backed up by one-to-one support from a mentor coach for each of the participants at regular intervals after the completion of the classroom training to ensure the learnings and new behaviours are fully embedded.
