Course Description

The radio course, accredited by the Broadcast Journalism Training Council, consists of 5 modules. Modules 1 to 4 are completed as a full-time course between January and December leading to a postgraduate diploma. Course content includes Journalism Practices and Responsibilities Media Law Journalism Skills for Radio Journalism Standards, Ethics and Social Context and Local and Central Government studies. Successful completion of the diploma allows progress to the MA. This entails undertaking a short period of intensive methodology training and examination followed by a period of supervised but self-directed research which should be completed within 12 months of registration.
