Course Description

The courses offered cover Modernism, Postmodern Theory and Postcolonialism ? and students choose 2 out of the 3 options. The MA will thus foreground dialogue between these different areas and approaches. Students will choose either a further whole unit from courses such as Contemporary Women?s Narratives, and Postmodern Literature or two further half-units from courses such as James Joyce: Modernism and Irish History Joseph Conrad: Modernism, Colonialism and Gender Virginia Woolf: Modernism and Subjectivity Yeats, Eliot, Pound American Modernism. An introduction to research methods is also part of the programme.
