
Course Description
This MA provides an exploration of early modern literature and drama, allowing students to specialise in the vibrant current research interests of our staff. Students are first introduced to the methods of research essential to the study of early modern litature, including the history of the book, manuscript studies, databases, and editing. The initial stages also encourage students to think critically about the Early Modern as a strategic organising category. Special options include the place of the stage early modern reconfigurations of identity and writing and reading practices. Students also write a dissertation.
