Suitable for: architecture graduates with a RIBAARB Part 2 qualification or an EU Directive listed qualification. Other graduates and qualified architects are welcome to take individual modules. Offers knowledge and expertise: to provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the legal and economic aspects of architectural practice and construction procurement, and of the related skills necessary to practice effectively on entry into the architectural profession. The course will foster the development of critical and independent judgement, and the ability to manage complex processes. It also develops a critical awareness of current problems in the field. Course Description: This is a two-stage Postgraduate DiplomaMasters course. Stage 1, leading to the qualification of Postgraduate Diploma (the ARBRIBA Part 3), comprises six modules: ? Construction Industry ? Practice Management ? Construction Law ? International Construction ? Professional Services ? Project Management Stage 2, leading to the Masters, consists of a dissertation module in which students are able to pursue in greater depth an aspect of the subject that interests them. This course is undertaken while the student is on an approved work placement. It is taught largely by distance learning, but students are required to attend three short residential courses.
