You will learn about the tools and materials used in Carpentry and how to safely handle, use and store them. Course category: 14 - 16 Programme Course content: Site: Wilson Avenue Content: You will learn about wood trades. You will practise joints and complete projects such as making a bird box or a tool box. You will learn about the tools and materials used in Carpentry and how to safely handle, use and store them. Qualification: College Certificate of Completion Could lead to: You might progress to the full-time Foundation Construction Award on leaving school, or, if you have employment with a suitable company you could progress to the NVQ Level 2 either through day release or an Apprenticeship. Entry Requirements: Learners must be able to work safely in a potentially dangerous environment. Learners must be willing to try all aspects of this course and be able to work as part of a team.
