ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Subject to interview WHO IS THE COURSE FOR? This course is designed for students wishing to gain a practical professional qualification in providing Body Massage. WHAT WILL I LEARN? Practical Full Body Massage techniques will be taught, along with related theory. Anatomy and Physiology will also be included to give the basic understanding of the body's systems, such topics as circulatory system, structure and function of muscles, the skeletal system and skin. There will also be included a unit which supports Health, Safety and Security in the Salon. HOW WILL I LEARN? Students will be assessed practically and orally throughout the course, a portfolio containing evidence of theory work undertaken will be produced. There will be separate independent theory assessments papers, and several assignments covering different areas of research which will be completed. This will ensure that you have the required underpinning knowledge and skills. On successful completion of this Body Massage course you will be awarded a professional certificate. (The International Institute for Health & Holistic Therapies, Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage). WHAT CAN THIS COURSE LEAD TO? Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Holistic Therapies, and Indian Head Massage.
