Course Description

This qualification is comprised of QCF credit-rated units developed by the Institute of Customer Service, the Standards Setting Body for the Customer Service sector. This qualification allows learners to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a national occupation level required by employers, thus proving competency in their job role. To achieve this qualification you must complete a minimum of 28 credits, 8 of which through mandatory units which are; Unit 1: Communicate using customer service language Unit 2: Follow the rules to deliver customer service You must then complete a minimum of 1 unit from each of the optional groups which are; Impression and Image, Delivery, Handling Problems and Development and Improvement. Learners will attend support and guidance workshops. In between each workshop they will be observed at their place of work and have access to support and guidance from Assessors. Learners will be expected to allocate themselves approximately 3 hours a week at their place of employment, to work on their portfolio of evidence.
